This pub is the best thing since sliced bread. I drink there constantly and the atmosphere is top rate. Oi you lot, have a pint of Stella for me and i will be back in June to get one for myself. Have a good one boys and girls and remember if your not drunk your not living. LIVE the dream people.

It was great fun for all concerned. The "Queen" was amazing!! Where did you get her from ?
The organisation went very well indeed. One thing froma Ban perspective we need to think about for next year is finding a way of transporting our instrument cases from the base to the Bell, There was nowhere we could safel;y put our instruments dwon while having a drink. A very small point
Yes we will definitely be up for next year!!!!

Hello you two good peeple Whoever organised that event on Thursday deserves a bloody medal It was fantastic. Glad to see that someone is looking out for our country One minor complaint – it took me ages to get a drink from the bar, but then again I saw how busy you were. Who the hell was that loony dressed as St George, dancing with the Queen - Magic Moment

I think the pub is great, just been down and while having a cool pint the chas and dave megamix which included the only fools and horses tune in was played just before the bingo, which in it's own right was very funny. Sadly due to moving down under I am not going to be able to go to the bell too much in the future but the whole St Georges weekend was great and must have taken alot of effort from Rose and DJ Davie Dave. Cheers Guys

My band, Blues&Tunes/The 4 Pillars of Wisdom, play regularly at The Bell and it has probably become our favourite band venue. Always a brilliant atmosphere with some great local "characters" and Rose, Dave & their colleagues always extremely hospitable. Fast becoming "the main local venue for live music" we look forward to playing at The Bell for the forseeable future.

The Bell is a rare thing these days - an unmolested and unpretentious traditional local boozer. Yet it manages to pul off the difficult trick of being more than one thing at the same time. One half has bare floors, pool tables and the sort of music that attracts betracksuited youths who communicate in text-speak. The other half is much more traditional and has a more mature crowd.
There is an unusual mix of tradesmen, business people (complete with the odd Aston Martin in the car park) and servicemen from the nearby base - mainly army, rather than RAF. At weekends it transforms itself into a live music venue and some great bands play there.
This pub has an undeserved reputation for being a bit rough. This mainly stems from the time of the previous proprieters but the current guv'nors, Dave and Rose, sorted that out years ago. Rose isn't to be trifled with! In the two years I've been visiting this pub I've only seen one scrap - and I started that!
Its not a real ale pub by any means - although they do serve a nice pint of IPA. What it is is a London boozer like I remember from my youth - and I love it.

“I take ecxeption to the proposition that "I can letmy hair dowm. since I dont have any !! Frankly its too late for that ! so do you have any other suggestions. nevertheless we had a great time - Thank you”

There's a big German Shepherd dog hanging around inside which looks a little scary but probably isn't. More scary are the locals who appear unnecessarily angry. Last time I was there drinking alfresco behind some plastic bus-stop type screens out front, an old Spitfire flew by overhead (mucking about from RAF Northolt) and I secretly hoped that it was lining up a bombing run on the pub. Then I remembered I was still in it and changed my mind.
